Peter Rabbit

In addition to writing the perennially popular Peter Rabbit books, Beatrix Potter was an artist, farmer, and conservationist. She personally bought 4,000 acres of Lake District farmland in Great Britain and gifted it to the National Trust so that it would be protected forever.
