Handmade navy blue handbag

This sapphhire blue handbag measures approximately 27cm wide by 21cm tall (not including strap). The bag has a 10cm deep base on the bottom so it stands up neatly. There is an internal zip pocket, and an internal mobile phone pocket. The bag is lined inside with black cotton, and zips closed. The shoulder straps hang approximately 24cm, and attach to the bag with thick, quality silver-coloured hardware. The blue cotton bag is decorated with silver mirrors sewn all over the front of the bag (plain blue back), and has white stitching and white piping around the base of the bag.

Handmade by Artisans Effort. Based in India, this fair trade organisation in Asansol (West Bengal) employs twelve artisans and provides for the education costs of nine children in the Howrah area. The artisans receive fair pay and ongoing work, and are able to continue with traditional handcraft skills and support their families in escaping from poverty.
