Folds up to take less space than frame backpack carriers. Handy zip pocket on the outside fits a spare nappy and a couple of wipes. Hood provides extra support for sleeping, or shade from the sun, and tucks away in a pocket when not in use. Made from machine washable, breathable, comfortable cotton.

Can't go wrong with this one...
Ergo is by far the most popular carrier in the shop, and it's not hard to see why. It's pretty obvious how it works, although it does have an instruction booklet and there are videos on the Ergo Baby Carrier website (especially useful when learning to back carry an older baby). It is useful until kids are walking full time - I can still carry my six year old on my back if I need to, in the regular version (the Sport and Performance versions have a bit more body length to the carrier to make carrying big kids even easier). The nine month warranty is great peace of mind, and it also has high resale value on the second-hand market if you don't need it anymore.
