Mei Tais are my fave!
I carried my big baby on my front, and my toddler on my back, until I was three months pregnant with my third baby, using mei tais. Great for support and flexible carrying positions, front and back. You can carry a newborn on your back in a mei tai, but you need to have baby up quite high so you can check their head position by putting a hand behind your neck - check out YouTube for videos on how it's done. A tip for new players: do up your mei tai straps nice and tight so baby is held close to your body and gravity can't drag down on your shoulders.
