Bubba J nappy covers and Bubblebubs nappies are made in Australia by work-at-home mums. Bubba J was one of the first commercially produced modern cloth nappies in Australia, and is still great value for money as well as one of the trimmest fits. The range of colours and prints in their PUL (polyurethane laminate) nappy covers makes a cute fashion statement. Bubblebubs all-in-one soft minky nappies are popular for their quality and absorbency, as well as being super cute and very pattable.
The manufacturing process is now managed by Vicki at Bubblebubs [1], who is a work-at-home mum herself. She outsources the sewing of nappies and covers to other work-at-home mums. They are paid a fair wage, and have very flexible working conditions. For example, there is no pressure to meet deadlines, making it easy to put family needs first.
Bubba J nappy covers are made from quality polyurethane laminate - waterproof and hard-wearing. Unlike PVC plastic, PUL can be tumble dried on low heat setting. However, these covers will last longer if line dried, and they won't take long to dry. PUL is also more breathable than PVC plastic, but is just as waterproof.
